Floods & Late Harvest
We have had a number of people send us messages after they read about the floods here in Colombia. We wanted to let everyone know that the floods are quite far from El Fénix and that everyone is safe. With that said, however, there has been a lot of rain throughout Colombia, and as a result, the harvest is late.
Below is an example of what can happen in times of continuous rainfall. These plants will absorb more and more water as it is supplied, beyond what is useful. Much like humans overeating in our modern opulence. You can see below the cherries have split due to taking on too much water, and luckily this has only affected a few of our trees this time around.
